Hoy 19 de octubre tras nuestra llegada a tierras escocesas, nos reunimos con el resto de nuestros socios. Por la mañana nos llevaron directamente al colegio Croftcroighn donde conocimos las instalaciones, profesores y alumnos.
El colegio se dedica a dar apoyo a alumnos con dificultades de aprendizaje y minusválidos psíquicos (autismo, parálisis cerebral…etc). Tras la presentación, hemos subido al autobús que nos ha llevado a una destilería de whisky “Glengoyne” donde nos han explicado el proceso de fabricación del mismo.
Después hemos degustado unos deliciosos platos en un lugar típico escocés. Tras la comida hemos visitado la famosa universidad de Glasgow y su entorno. A las 19:00 nos han llevado a cenar a un típico pub llamado “The Hope”. Como el día ha sido muy completo, volvemos al hotel para descansar.
Arrival in Glasgow
Today 19th October after our arrival in Scottish lands, we met the rest of our partners. In the morning they took us to their Croftcroighn school where we could see the facilities, teachers and students.
The school supports students with learning difficulties and disabled students. After the meeting, we got on a bus to visit a distillery of whisky where we have learnt about the process of its elaboration.
After that, we have tasted some delicious dishes in a typical Scottish restaurant. After the lunch we have visited the well-known University of Glasgow and its surroundings. At 19:00 we went to a typical Scottish pub called “The Hope” for dinner. As the day has been intensive, we came back to the hotel to rest.
